Receiving an autism diagnosis last year was a real gamechanger in me understanding the real me after years of masking environments, foods and everything things I struggle with.
The kitchen has always been my safe space and food is the one thing that grounds me wherever I am in the world.
I am so incredibly liberated to have entered this competition being as my authentic self, cooking foods that I love that are also catered for neurodiverse individuals with sensory sensitivities in mind & with alternative & adaptive presentation. To reach the Semi-Finals (Top 6) was a dream come true and is the start of my journey as The Autistic Chef ™
